Praying Through Life’s Storms
March 4, 11, 18, 25;
April 8 & 15
6:30-7:30pm at church
Room 305
There is a lot going on in the world right now. Our attention and emotions are being pulled in so many directions that we may feel disconnected, ungrounded, and confused. Times like these are perfect for following our Christian ancestors in turning to God in prayer.
Join Ginny Fisher as she introduces participants to time-proven prayer practices that have been in use for centuries and can even help us today: Breath Prayer, Prayer of the Presence, Welcoming Prayer, Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina. Learn and practice ways of connecting with God and finding inner peace when the world seems out of control (and even when it’s not). This class is for those looking to expand their prayer life, those needing a refresher, and those looking to pray in community.
Room 305 is in the sanctuary building on the second floor of the Education Wing.
We invite you to come for Wednesday Community Supper, too – serving a hot meal 5:30-6:30pm in the social hall every week!
