Jeff Rone

Jeff Rone (he/him) serves as Director of Contemporary Music. He collaborates on music with Jody Hepp, Director of Traditional Music, for our 10:30am Family worship service, and he leads the Warehouse 839 band.

Jeff writes, “I am passionate about worship music that is genuine, God-centered, and participatory. I love encouraging our congregation to sing and participate in worship. I believe worship is not something we simply attend as a spectator. I believe worship is something we do, something we experience together as a community.”

“I have lived in Hilliard for several years and have always admired the love and acceptance HUMC shows ALL people!”

Jeff holds a Bachelors of Music Education with an emphasis in Choral Music and Vocal Performance from The Ohio State University and a masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati.

He is a single dad with three amazing children (Eli, Abby, and Jacob) who attend Hilliard Schools. Since 2004/05, he has served as the Director of Choirs at Westland High School, where he conducts more than 200 students in five different choirs ranging from beginning level to the Chorale, our most advanced chamber ensemble.
