Pastor Jon (he/him/his) was called to serve as Associate Pastor of Hilliard UMC in July 2019, and his ministry is focused on mission and outreach. He completed a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in 2020.
“I love seeing people live out their call to love others in many varied expressions, and it ignites my soul when I see followers of Jesus find their own sweet spot in service and mission. I love working with a church that is dedicated to sharing the love of God with all people no matter what. To serve in a place where we put no boundaries on the love of God is a soul-filling experience and doesn’t feel like work.”
Jon is a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and served one deployment to Afghanistan in 2002. Originally from Virginia, he called East Tennessee home for more than a decade, and since moving to Ohio he has served as pastor at Lilly Chapel UMC and Salem UMC, as well as on the staff of Community UMC Circleville. He spent many years leading children’s and youth ministry.
Jon and his wife, Jennifer, have six children: Quinn, Jacob, Phoebe, Valen, Kendall, and Isaac.
Pastor Jon usually takes his sabbath and day off on Friday and Saturday. If you have a pastoral emergency on a Friday or Saturday, please call the church office (614.876.2403) and leave a voicemail message (select the hospital option; pastors will be alerted).
