Outreach Fundraiser
Thanks to your amazing support, the Faith Finders are booked through 11/13 and won’t be scheduling any more yards, but you can still donate!
We know the importance of play for kids, and having a safe and supportive environment to do that. Here at Hilliard UMC, we have been blessed to be able to provide two spaces for our children to grow spiritually, with a third on its way (our Godly Play spaces).
Our friends at Sunrise Academy haven’t been so blessed. Earlier this year they received threats toward their students, due to the political climate. They’ve had to cancel outdoor activities due to those threats and have thus started a fundraising campaign to help build an indoor space where they can play and pray safely.
This year, for our annual Gobble and Squash fundraiser, the Faith Finders group (grades 3-6) are practicing one of HUMC’s core values: Love in Action.
With your support we will actively love our neighbors by helping Sunrise Academy build a safe and nurturing space where they can pray and play.
Gobble & Squash: November 3-13
$20 to Gobble & Squash a friend’s yard
$10 buys insurance against getting Gobbled & Squashed
Gobble and Squash runs November 3-13. Show someone you are thinking about them by having their yard Gobbled and Squashed.
For just $20 the Faith Finders will place wooden pumpkins and turkeys* in your friend’s lawn for 24 hours, in exchange for your contribution to the fundraiser! Or for $10 you can buy “insurance” to keep your yard safe from any wandering turkeys and pumpkins. All proceeds go to the Sunrise Academy.
