Special Christmas Offering
This Advent season, as we complete our journey through The Great Story, we invite you to make a special Christmas offering to support our community. This year, your gifts will go two places (you can choose, or we’ll divide your gift evenly between both):
Hilliard Food Pantry Plus: One of the outreach efforts of the Hilliard Food Pantry Plus is to help ensure that people do not have their electricity, water, or gas shut off during a time of crisis. In the past year, the need for this assistance has increased 50% year over year. Half of our Christmas offering gifts will go to help the Hilliard Food Pantry Plus meet this critical need.
You gave $4625.10 toward the Hilliard Food Pantry Plus Utility Assistance Program!
Pakistani Girls School: This July, we had another wonderful visit from our friends in Pakistan who are running a girls school in a rural part of the country. Climate change continues to impact the school, and this past year, they have spent so much money on building repairs that their operating funds have been in jeopardy. Half of our gifts will help provide some stability for their operating funds, to support day-to-day operations.

New Giving Platform:
Church Center
Vanco will no longer be an option
as of January 1, 2025
Starting January 1, 2025, all online giving will go through the new Church Center app and online software. We’ll be transitioning away from Vanco in a move that has significant benefits for you all and for the church (including a significant cost savings for the church).
We sent a letter to our mailing list and we’ve posted all the details on our website to help you make the transition. It should be pretty great once we figure it all out and make the change as a church, so pardon the inevitable bumps in the meantime!

Send a simple text message from your phone to donate to Hilliard UMC! To get started, text any dollar amount to 84321, then follow the instructions to register and enter your payment information.
Kroger Rewards
If you shop at Kroger, you can use your loyalty card to have Kroger Community Rewards benefit Hilliard UMC, at no cost to you!
In the Kroger app:
- Click/choose the menu in the upper left corner.
- Click/choose “Rewards.”
- Click/choose “Community Rewards.” This will bring you to your current Community Rewards “Enrollment.”
- If Hilliard United Methodist Church is displayed, you’re already set up and there’s nothing else to do.
- If Hilliard United Methodist Church is NOT displayed, select “Change Organization.”
- Enter Hilliard United Methodist Church in the Search Organization window.
- Select ENTER again.
- Select the “Enroll” button when Hilliard United Methodist Church is shown.
That’s it, you’re all set up! Thank you!
Lots of Ways to Donate
- Give online through our website: Click or tap the “Give Online” image at the top of this page to give through our new giving platform, Church Center.
- Give through your phone: download the free Church Center app on your smart phone (available for both Android & iPhone), and choose Hilliard UMC. Follow the link for details and instructions.
- Text to Give: To get started, text the amount you want to give to 844.488.1706, then follow the link to register and enter your payment information. Download the PDF for details and instructions.
- Bring cash or check offerings to in-person worship any Sunday.
- Mail your contributions to the church: PO Box 158 (5445 Scioto Darby Rd), Hilliard OH 43026.
- Give through your bank or financial institution’s online bill pay system.
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) allows consistent amounts to be drawn directly from your bank account on a regular basis. This option allows you to give as a regular priority, and it also reduces the processing expense for the church. To get started with EFT, contact our Finance Administrator (financeadmin@hilliardumc.org, 614.876.2403).

Thanksgiving Outreach 2024
In 2024, our Thanksgiving Outreach served 307 families
with thousands of pounds of produce, several pallets of turkeys, 400 pumpkin pies,
and over $9,000 in gift cards, thanks to your generous donations!
We made real connections with people and heard prayer concerns, too.
We’re grateful for our partnerships with the Hilliard Food Pantry Plus, Hilliard City Schools, Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church, and more than 60 volunteers.
500 Students Every Week
Every Friday during the school year, our Feeding Hilliard Students ministry,
in partnership with Hilliard Kiwanis, sends food home with around 500 students who experience food insecurity, thanks to your generous donations!

In 2021, an average of 1,070 people came to the Hilliard Farm Market each week,
which we host in our parking lot May through September,
thanks in part to your generous contributions and support!
We host 40 vendors each week
and work with 11 different food and sweets trucks!
The community donated 525 books through the Farm Market
to Books in Little Hands and packed 175 backpacks with Hilliard Kiwanis & Feeding Hilliard Students to give to Hilliard City Schools students!

A Lasting Gift
The Permanent Endowment Fund was established in 2002 to give members and friends of Hilliard UMC the opportunity to make a lasting gift to support ministries beyond the regular operating budget. These gifts have the power to support Hilliard UMC into the future as the investments grow, continuing God’s work beyond us, beyond today.
