We invite you to attend a listening session, hosted by HR professional and HUMC member Dawn Shrimplin, along with Interim Pastor Larry Brown and SPPRC chair Marilyn Hoeflinger.
They will explain the United Methodist policies and procedures around the appointment of pastors and try to clear up any misinformation, and there will be plenty of time for you to ask your questions and share your feelings on the recent transition of Pastor April Blaine.
We’re hoping these will help us move toward healing as a congregation.
Three listening sessions are scheduled (and more may be added if there’s need):
- Sunday, March 1, 1-2:30pm, in the sanctuary building, social hall
- Monday, March 2, 7-8:30pm, in the sanctuary building, room 306/308
- Sunday, March 8, 1-2:30pm, in the sanctuary building, social hall

You’re welcome to just show up, but it would help if you could let Marilyn Hoeflinger know which session you plan to attend – email her at mshoeflinger@gmail.com. To give everyone the best chance of being heard, it’s best to gather smaller groups (15-20 people max). But please come whether you can RSVP ahead of time or not.
