A Note from Katie Williams
Dear HUMC Community,
As we look forward to our Preschool Sunday celebrations this Sunday, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible growth and blessings that have unfolded this year within our preschool program. This year has been a season of great joy and exciting developments, and we want to share some of those milestones with you, our faithful congregation, who have supported this ministry so generously.
Celebrating our wonderful teachers & staff
We are thrilled to celebrate the wonderful teachers in our preschool who received well-deserved raises this year. Their dedication, love, and care for our youngest learners are a reflection of God’s love, and we are so thankful for their commitment.
Alongside this, we are excited to highlight the amazing work of our new Assistant Director, Rachael Blankenbiller, who is completing her first year as our Assistant Director, her 9th year at the Preschool. She brings a fresh perspective, deep compassion, and strong leadership to our preschool. It’s been an absolute joy working together this year, and we are so grateful for the collaborative spirit and energy she has brought to our team. Together, we have navigated the challenges of the year and celebrated many triumphs, and we look forward to what lies ahead with such a wonderful partner in ministry.
Celebrating new toys & 100% on our licensing inspection
This year, we’ve also been able to add new toys and learning materials, which have helped to enrich the classroom experiences and foster a joyful learning environment for all our children.
And with a heart full of joy, we share that we are in full compliance with all state standards— we received a 100% at our most recent licensing inspection! This is a testament to the hard work of our staff and the support of our congregation.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that, due to a growing need in our community, we will be adding a new class next year. This new addition will help us accommodate more children and ensure we can continue to meet the needs of families in our congregation and beyond. While most of the children who attend our preschool are not church members, our preschool is a vital outreach of HUMC, serving as a way to build relationships and share the love of Christ with our community.
